Fedora 16 Alpha is declared GOLD!

At today’s Go/No-Go meeting, Fedora 16 was declared ship-shape and ready to go!

Fedora 16 Alpha will be available on TUESDAY, August 23, 2011.

Logs and minutes are available to read from today’s meeting.

A hearty *thanks* to everyone for their contributions to this Alpha release — and, as always in Fedora, more fun is directly ahead!

Some schedule reminders, as always:

2011-09-06: Software Translation Deadline
2011-09-13: Beta freeze deadline and FEATURES 100 PERCENT COMPLETE (please put emphasis on that 100% as you read, and insert my smiling, sweet face here)
2011-09-27: Beta release
2011-10-17: Final Change Deadline
2011-11-01: Fedora 16 Final release
