Election Nominations and Election Questionnaire periods are ending imminently.
Nominations for Fedora Board and FESCo close imminently, as in TODAY, May 15, at 23:59:59 UTC.
If you are not sure how your time zone relates to UTC, use a UTC time website, such as this one.
If you are interested in throwing your proverbial Fedora into the elections ring, be sure to visit the Elections wiki page and get your name on the appropriate candidate list.
Now, in an effort to prevent people feeling nonplussed after the deadline, I would like to make the following Public Service Announcements:
- Late nominations WILL NOT BE ADDED TO THE BALLOT. Don’t decide tomorrow morning that ohhhhhhhhhhh, maybe I should run, because you’ll be late.
- If you have a friend, co-worker, relative, or otherwise whom you know intends to run and HAS NOT ADDED THEIR NAME YET, for any reason up to and including vacations, family business, tragedies, attending conferences, being hospitalized, eating beefy miracles, or attending royal weddings, PICK UP THE PHONE AND NOTIFY THEM THAT THE TIME PERIOD IS ABOUT TO END AND BEING LATE IS NOT AN OPTION.
Also, please note that I cannot actually enforce #1, being powerless and all, but I am really good at being mad and lecturing about rules. If you have any doubts about my abilities in this area, ask my children. Additionally, Max Spevack owes me One American Dollar for my usage of the word nonplussed in a sentence.
The Much Less Hyped Questionnaire
Additionally, there is a Questionnaire where community members can pose questions which they would like the candidates to answer. Questions for this page are also accepted through TODAY, May 15, at 23:59:59 UTC. After that point, candidates will have until the end of day (UTC) on May 22nd to provide their responses, which will then be published no later than May 25. If you have burning questions, be sure to add them to the wiki page.
